The World Race 2026-2027 season has OFFICALLY begun! I couldn’t be more grateful for the squadmates that surround me (shoutout Q squad!!) and the team of girls that I have grown so close to over the past week. Even in the past seven days, the Lord has stretched me beyond measure - and it only has made me even more excited to watch him move over the next nine months.
To recap, I have received my travel map post training camp. On September 6th - this coming Sunday - me and the rest of this year’s gap squads will be heading to Adrian Ga to do some domestic missions work helping with disaster relief in the area. We will also have the opportunity to set up an Adventures in Missions base there for future squads to also help out Adrian’s disaster relief work. After spending a week there, on September 12th I will be heading back to training camp for a short three day debrief with the rest of my squad. After our last hoorah in the states, on September 16th I will officially be launching internationally (WOOOHOOO!). The dates of how long we will be in each international country are roughly drawn up, but we do have a general idea of our timeline. My first stop is Guatemala, and I will be staying there around two months from mid september to mid november. In Guatemala, I can expect to be working about five days of ministry a week, one adventure day, and one sabbath day for rest (which I will try to be posting my blogs on). From Guatemala, we will fly towards South Korea and begin a newer type of ministry known as “Ask The Lord” (ATL). I will only be staying in South Korea around 2-3 weeks, from mid november-mid december. Because AIM does not have any established ministry hosts or ministry opportunities in South Korea, ATL essentially means we will be working within our squads/teams to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead us to meet the ministry needs of the area. Prayer for discernment and guidance for my squad and teams will be an incredible way to support us all! From South Korea, I will be heading to Vietnam, and I will be there from around mid december-beginning of january. Another short stop, but this time will also include Christmas and New Years celebrations for our team - which I am so so excited to experience! Vietnam will also be a country where our squad/teams will be practicing ATL and asking the Holy Spirit to open up missions opportunities and hopefully allow AIM to establish connections in both ATL countries we will be visiting. Vietnam also brings some change as our squad will likely be split into our smaller teams and be placed in different cities - so prayer for our squad as a whole and the unification of us as the body of Christ is another great way to support! From Vietnam, we fly to South Africa, and will be there around 2 months as well from beginning of january-beginning of march. South Africa also leads to chances of our squad being split up into teams. From South Africa, I approach my last stop - Eswatini! I have to say I am most excited for Swaziland where I will spend about 2 months again from beginning or march-mid may. Swaziland will also host the Parent Vision Trip (PVT) where my parents will be able to come and visit me and get to partake in missions with me and my squad (yay!).
Within our squad, everyone is selected for a particular role to allow chances for leadershiop within our group. Some examples are: treasurers, worship leaders, hospitality, and our personal favorite party planning committee (PPC!). Each of the leaders have been praying over the roles, and feel the Lord has selected each of us to tap into both out physcial and spiritual gifts to serve our squad and teams. I have been chosen to serve as a leader on the logistics team, meaning I will be working with our squad leaders and mentors to plan travel days, squad debriefs, adventure days with the squad, and working with my other logistics team members to help plan day by day activities within the squad. I am honored to be working in this position, and have been praying for the Lord to help lead me in wisdom, discernment, and patience to work with my squadmates and logistics leaders. I would be so grateful if you would come alongside me and pray for me as well!
Overall, here is a list of things you can be praying for with me personally and for my squad as a whole:
-
unification of my squad/team as part of the body of Christ
-
wisdom and discernment for us all as we begin to step into the field
-
that we would desire to LOVE OTHERS as Christ has loved us, and that our mission would be to love like Jesus more than anything else
-
for my squadmates that are still fundraising - and for people to come alongside them and support them in that
-
for travel days upcoming and farther in the future
-
for safety not only on those travel days, but on the field
-
that our hearts would be filled with gratitude and joy of the Lord!
Thank you to each and every person who has supported me in every way throughout this journey. I ask that you continue to pray for not only me but my squad - we are not walking through this alone, but alongside every person who supports us along the way.
If you have any questions about how to support, more details about my missions, or any questions you’re curious about, feel free to reach out to me! I love you all!
